Rider Killed in 405 Freeway Motorcycle Crash near Roscoe Boulevard in North Hills Identified as Wilson Aberin
North Hills, California (May 15, 2020) – Wilson Aberin, 68, has been identified as the motorcycle rider who struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Thursday night on a freeway in North Hills.
Authorities said Aberin was riding his motorcycle on the southbound 405 Freeway near Roscoe Boulevard at about 7:00 p.m. May 14 when he was hit by a Range Rover whose driver fled the scene.
Aberin was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Range Rover evaded the scene before the police arrived. Authorities are still looking for the hit-and-run motorist.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group.
