Tigran Garabedyan Dies after Orcutt Plane Crash at Ralph Dunlap Elementary School
Orcutt, California (May 22, 2020) – Authorities have identified Tigran Garabedyan, 38, of Burbank, as the pilot who was killed in Wednesday morning plane crash in Orcutt.
At about 10:45 a.m., May 20, the police responded to the deadly crash at Ralph Dunlap Elementary School, which is located in the 1220 block of Oak Knoll Road.
At about 9:45 a.m., a Cirrus SR20 single-engine plane, which is registered in Newport Beach, departed Van Nuys Airport, and was en route to the Santa Maria Public Airport, said the police.
The aircraft reportedly crashed into the school’s basketball courts and burst into flames as it was approaching the airport.
Garabedyan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Plane accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
