Person Killed in Solano County Pedestrian Accident on Ramp from State Highway 12 to Interstate Highway 80
Solano County, California (May 7, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night on Interstate 80 Freeway ramp near Fairfield in unincorporated Solano County, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The fatal crash took place at around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 6 on the ramp from westbound state Highway 12 to westbound Interstate Highway 80.
As per the report, the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle for unknown reasons on the ramp.
The pedestrian died in the accident. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Authorities closed the ramp following the accident. Motorists were being diverted to Chadbourne Road.
The accident remains under investigation.
