Pedestrian Dies in Bell Gardens Crash on 710 Freeway near Florence and Firestone Avenues
Bell Gardens, California (May 6, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle while running on a freeway early Tuesday morning in Bell Gardens, authorities said.
At around 2:10 a.m. May 5, officers responded to the accident on the southbound 710 Freeway between the exits for Florence and Firestone avenues.
A witness told the authorities that the pedestrian was running on the right side of the southbound 710 Freeway when they were hit by a vehicle.
The pedestrian was found down in the number 3 lane of the freeway. The victim, whose name has not been disclosed pending notification of family, was declared deceased at the scene.
Three southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway were closed as crews investigated the accident.
No other details about the accident were given.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
