Pedestrian Killed in San Jose Train Accident near Capitol Station Saturday morning
San Jose, California (May 17, 2020) – A pedestrian died after getting hit by a Caltrain locomotive south of the Capitol Station in San Jose at around 10:43 a.m.Saturday, a local news source reported.
The southbound locomotive was en route to Gilroy when it struck the pedestrian, according to the report.
The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of family.
The locomotive was not carrying passengers when the accident happened.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
