Cyclist Hospitalized after Bicycle Crash on Highway 54 in Santa Barbara County

Man Seriously Hurt in Santa Barbara County Bicycle Accident at Highway 154 and San Antonio Creek Road

Santa Barbara County, California (May 2, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning bicycle crash that left one person seriously injured in Santa Barbara County.

At about 9:43 a.m., the police responded to the crash at Highway 154 and San Antonio Creek Road.

A Toyota Prius, for unknown reasons, collided with a bicycle on the roadway, according to the authorities.

The cyclist was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with serious injuries. He was listed in critical condition.

It was not clear if other injuries were sustained in the Toyota.

Highway 154 was closed for a short time.

The crash remains under investigation.
