Homeland, California (May 10, 2020) – A traffic accident in Homeland left a motorcyclist seriously injured Saturday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

At about 10:55 a.m. May 9, officers responded to the crash on Highway 74 at Creag Avenue.

According to the CHP, a motorcycle collided with a car on the roadway for reasons still under investigation. The rider was unconscious after the accident.

The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.
