Victim Killed in Rialto Truck Accident on Riverside Avenue ID’d as Carlos Montes
Rialto, California (May 15, 2020) – 28-year-old Carlos Montes, of San Bernardino, has been identified as the man who died following a traffic collision that happened on Riverside Avenue in Rialto Tuesday evening, the Rialto Police Department reported.
As per the dispatch, a Nissan pickup truck driven by Montes south on Riverside Avenue at a high rate of speed toward the intersection of Agua Mansa Road slammed into the left-rear side a Kenworth tractor pulling a trailer.
The initial report indicated that Montes was weaving in and out of traffic lanes while the tractor was exiting the south driveway in the 3600 block of S. Riverside Avenue prior to the 6:20 p.m. collision.
The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
