Man Killed in Riverside Motorcycle Accident at Central Avenue and El Cerrito Drive ID’d as Trenton Mersola
Riverside, California (May 6, 2020) – Authorities have released the name of the Riverside rider who died after his 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with 2009 Toyota Rav-4 at Central Avenue and El Cerrito Drive in Riverside at around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday.
20-year-old Trenton Mersola crashed with the Toyota Rav-4 that was turning left on a green arrow after he failed to stop for a red light at the intersection.
Mersola died at the scene while the Rav-4 operator, a 22-year-old Riverside woman, was not injured.
Detectives did not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the mishap.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
