Authorities Investigating Fatal Stockton Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Hammer Lane
Stockton, California (May 4, 2020) – A man died, and a woman was injured after being hit by an alleged hit-and-run driver in the area of Stockton at approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 2.
The involved driver, 34-year-old Dontae Wilburn, did not stop after hitting the two pedestrians in the 2300 block of West Hammer Lane near the parking lot of a shopping center Saturday afternoon.
The female pedestrian was hospitalized with minor injuries sustained in the wreck. The man was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Officers arrested Wilburn and booked him into the San Joaquin County Jail on homicide-related charges.
