33-Year-Old Raylene Martinez Killed in Lancaster Pedestrian Crash on 10th Street West
Lancaster, California (March 4, 2020) – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified 33-year-old old Raylene Martinez as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Lancaster last week on Friday evening.
As per the report, Martinez was among the two pedestrians who were hit by a pickup truck while crossing 10th Street West in the two way left turn lane at approximately 7:15 p.m. on February 28. Martinez reportedly falls into the northbound traffic lanes of the highway where another car ran her over.
The pickup truck was pulling into the two way left turn lane to access a local business at the time of the collision.
Martinez died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the other unidentified male pedestrian sustained injuries following the wreck. He was taken to a local hospital by paramedics for further medication.
The fatal accident remains under an active investigation. Anyone with information about the wreck is urged to call the Lancaster Sheriff Station at 661-948-8466.
