Man Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Accident on Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard
Fremont, California (March 19, 2020) – A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle while he was walking on a boulevard early Thursday morning in Fremont, according to authorities.
The deadly crash took place shortly before 6:00 a.m. on northbound Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard.
Authorities said the man was walking on the roadway when he was struck by a Honda sedan. It remains unclear whether the victim was in a crosswalk when the accident occurred.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Authorities closed northbound Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard to investigate the crash. Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.
No further details about the accident were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
