Person Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Northbound Interstate 5 near Florin Road Wednesday night
Sacramento, California (March 26, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The fatal crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 on northbound Interstate 5, just south of Florin Road.
A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle on the roadway for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian died in the crash. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The accident caused the closure of all northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Florin Road. Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided, and the accident remains under investigation.
