Officer Hospitalized after Salma Vehicle Accident on Floral Avenue and Thompson Avenue
Salma, California (March 2, 2020) - Salma Police officer was injured after an accident involving multiple vehicles near Floral Avenue and Thompson Avenue in Salma, police said.
Authorities responded to the crash on Sunday, March 1, at about noon.
The California Highway Patrol said the officer was attempting to clear both ways by entering the intersection, his car and another car collided, pushing the police cruiser into three more cars.
The officer was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
