Michael Davis Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Palmdale on 15th Street West and Rancho Vista Boulevard

Palmdale, California (March 2, 2020) - Police officers identified the name of the victim killed din motorcycle early last month on Saturday, February 8, at around 12:30 a.m. in Palmdale, as Michael Davis, 37, of Palmdale.
Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said Davis was riding his southbound motorcycle through a green light when he was struck by a Honda Civic driven by Hector Lara, 26, of Palmdale, at the intersection of 15th Street West and Rancho Vista Boulevard.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Lara fled the scene after the crash.

Lara later turned himself in at the Palmdale Sheriff's Station on February 24 and was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. Lara was later released after posting a bond.

Lara is due back in court on March 26, according to LASD inmate records.

The crash is still under investigation.
