Mark Luther Identified as 1 of 2 Drivers Killed in San Diego Car Accident on Interstate 5
San Diego, California (March 17, 2020)– Authorities have identified 58-year-old Mark Luther of San Diego as one of the two motorists killed in San Diego wrong-way crash early Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at around 1:15 a.m. March 11, on northbound Interstate 5 near Hawthorn Street.
A black sedan was reportedly heading southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 when it slammed head-on into an oncoming car.
Officials confirmed that Luther, who was one of the motorists died in the crash. The second driver was also declared dead at the crash site.
The incident remains under investigation.
