Man Suffers Major Injuries in Bakersfield Crash on Union Avenue Saturday evening
Bakersfield, California (March 23, 2020) – A traffic crash in Bakersfield left a pedestrian with critical injuries Saturday night, authorities said.
The pedestrian accident happened at about 8:13 p.m. Saturday, March 21 in the 1600 block of Union Avenue.
According to the police, an unidentified man was attempting to walk across Union Avenue when a vehicle hit him.
Paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the pedestrian who sustained major injuries as a result of the accident. He was then transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver cooperated with the police. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
