Kelsey Diffin Identified as Woman Killed in Eureka Pedestrian Accident on Broadway Near Harbor Lanes
Eureka, California (March 10, 2020) – Authorities have identified the woman who died in a hospital after Being Struck by Vehicle while pushing a stroller with an infant Saturday night at a Eureka intersection as Kelsey Diffin, 25, of Eureka.
The crash took place at around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, March 7 on Broadway near Harbor Lanes.
Authorities said Diffin was pushing a stroller containing her child across Broadway when they were struck by a red SUV that was heading northbound on Broadway.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found Diffin lying down in the road. She was then transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The child was not injured in the accident.
The driver of the SUV stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.
