67-Year-Old Rui Xai Zhen Killed in San Francisco Pedestrian Crash on Sunday Morning
San Francisco, California (March 2, 2020) – 67-year-old Rui Xai Zhen of San Francisco has been identified as the female victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle in San Francisco at around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, Zhen was struck by a pickup truck operated by CityStreet cleaner at the intersection of Taylor and Geary Streets in the Tenderloin neighborhood on March 1.
The pickup that was heading north on Taylor Street reportedly turned left onto westbound Geary Street before hitting the woman.
Zhen, who suffered life-threatening injuries, died at San Francisco General Hospital while undergoing treatment.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more details to identify the cause of the accident.
