25-Year-Old Jordan Vargas Killed in Saugus Crash near Copper Hill Drive and Tamarack Lane
Santa Clarita, California (March 1, 2020) – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has released the name of the Santa Clarita rider who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday evening at the intersection of Copper Hill Drive and Tamarack Lane in the Saugus neighborhood.
As per the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department, 25-year-old Jordan Vargas was riding his motorcycle at the intersection near Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church when he collided with a vehicle at approximately 6:18 p.m. February 28.
Sadly, Vargas died in the accident.
The involved driver, who was identified as a female party, was hospitalized with minor injuries suffered in the wreck, Los Angeles County Fire Department officials reported.
The eastbound side of Copper Hill Drive at Seco Canyon Road and the eastbound side near Gold Canyon Drive were closed down as police conducted the investigation.
