Sleeping Man Pinned to Wall in Riverside Car Crash
Riverside, California (March 2, 2020) – One person was injured after a car crashed through a wall on Saturday morning in Riverside, Southern California, according to authorities.
The crash occurred at about 1:00 a.m., on February 29.
The police said a car plunged through the wall of a house, pinning a man sleeping into his bedroom wall. The vehicle nearly went into the house entirely due to the collision force. One person was extricated from the car.
The sleeping man sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Following the accident, a 22-year-old man, the involved driver, was arrested and is likely to face charges including driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and DUI with a blood-alcohol level higher than .08 causing injury, according to the police.
Four adult occupants of the house were displaced. The damage to the home was estimated at $200,000.
The crash remains under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
