Bicyclist Injured in Garden Grove Crash at Orangewood Avenue and Euclid Street
Garden Grove, California (March 3, 2020) – A bicyclist was struck and seriously injured by an alleged DUI driver Monday night in Garden Grove.
The crash occurred at around 11:00 p.m. Monday, March 2 at the intersection of Orangewood Avenue and Euclid Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a bicyclist was at the Garden Grove intersection when they were struck by a Chevrolet Suburban whose driver did not stop at the scene.
The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The condition of the patient and their name were not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the vehicle involved, Victor Medina, 26, did not stop to rendered aid at the scene and fled the scene. He was apprehended about a quarter-mile away from the crash site.
Medina failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of DUI and felony hit-and-run.
