Coroner ID’d Robert Calvin as Victim Killed in Laguna Niguel Bicycle Accident at Alicia Parkway and Awma Road
Laguna Niguel, California (March 18, 2020) – The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner has released the name of an 83-year-old Laguna Niguel bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle on March 5 in Laguna Niguel.
Authorities said Robert Calvin died at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo after he was hit by an SUV while riding his bicycle at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Awma Road at about 9:54 a.m.
The circumstances that lead to the collision were not disclosed at the time of the report.
Sadly, Calvin died about 50 minutes later after he was admitted to the hospital.
The investigation is underway.
