Girl, Elderly Woman Injured in Talmadge Pedestrian Accident at Collwood Boulevard and 54th Street
San Diego, California (March 17, 2020) – Two female pedestrians were struck and injured by a vehicle Monday night at an intersection in Talmadge, according to authorities.
The accident occurred just after 8:05 p.m. Monday, March 16 at the intersection of Collwood Boulevard and 54th Street.
Authorities said a 67-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were at the intersection when they were hit by a Subaru Baja that was heading northbound on Collwood Boulevard.
The older woman sustained major injuries, including a broken arm and broken leg, while the teen suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Subaru, an 81-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
An investigation intothe crash is underway.
