Teen Killed in Ventura Pedestrian Accident on Seaward Avenue ID’d as Austin Gambill
Ventura, California (March 16, 2020) – Authorities have released the name of the Ventura pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon, March 11, in Ventura.
As per the dispatch, 16-year-old Austin Gambill was walking on the sidewalk when a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado work truck struck him shortly before 3:30 p.m.
According to a local news source, the Silverado jumped the curb along Seaward Avenue near Alessandro at the time of the collision.
Gambill died at Ventura County Medical Center on Friday morning, where he was admitted after the wreck.
The Chevrolet Silverado operator reportedly stopped after hitting the boy.
