Woman Killed in Antioch Pedestrian Accident on Second Street
Antioch, California (June 14, 2020) – A woman died after being struck by a freight train Saturday afternoon in downtown Antioch, police said.
The fatal crash took place at around 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, on Second Street.
According to the police, the woman was on the BNSF Railway tracks when, for unknown reasons, she was struck by the train.
The woman was declared dead at the scene by emergency responders. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
