Jeffrey Russ Identified as Person Killed in Lancaster Train Accident at Avenue I and Sierra Highway
Lancaster, California (June 1, 2020) - The coroner’s office has identified Jeffrey Russ, 37, of Quartz Hill, as one of the two persons who were killed in a train and a car crash on Friday morning in Lancaster.
The accident occurred at Avenue I and Sierra Highway, at about 5:14 a.m., on May 29.
The police said a train collided with a car on the railroads for unknown reasons.
It was not clear if the car was crossing or was parked when the accident occurred, the officials said.
Russ was pronounced dead at the scene. One other person in the car was also declared dead at the scene.
No further details were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice.Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
