Man Dies, 8-Year-Old Child Hospitalized after Oxnard Motorcycle Accident at Pleasant Valley Road and Laguna Road
Oxnard, California (June 23, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Monday evening motorcycle crash that killed a man and left a child nursing injuries in Oxnard.
The crash happened at about 9:13 p.m., on June 22, at Pleasant Valley Road and Laguna Road.
The California Highway Patrol said a motorcycle collided with a vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His 8-year-old passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.
Following the accident, the roadway was closed for an unknown period.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group.
