Fatal Angelus Oaks 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 38 near Forest Road 1N86
Angelus Oaks, California (June 26, 2020) – A head-on collision that took place on Highway 38 in Angelus Oaks, at about 1:10 p.m., resulted in the death of a 35-year-old Los Angeles man.
The accident happened when a 2016 Hyundai Veloster driven by a 35-year-old man westbound on Highway 38 swerved into the eastbound lanes at a high rate of speed.
The Hyundai Veloster then crashed head-on into a 2014 Toyota Rav-4 that was heading eastbound Highway 38 west of Forest Road 1N86 Wednesday afternoon on June 24.
The Hyundai operator died in the wreck.
The Toyota driver, a 23-year-old woman, suffered moderate injuries while her 16-year-old Murrieta's city female passenger sustained minor injuries in the wreck. Both patients were rushed to Loma Linda University Medical Center for further aid.
The investigators are gathering more evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
