Oxnard, California (June 24, 2020) – Elva Andrade, 55, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a motorcycle crash that also left a 7-year-old girl seriously injured on Monday night in Oxnard, police said

At about 9:15 p.m., on June 22, the authorities responded to the deadly crash on East Pleasant Valley Road near Laguna Road.

According to the police report, an Acura sedan, driven by Jacob A. Caliboso, 21, of Oxnard, collided with a Yamaha scooter, operated by Andrade, on the roadway.

Andrade and her 7-year-old passenger were ejected onto the roadway. Both victims were wearing helmets when the crash happened.

Sadly, Andrade was declared dead at the scene.

The 7-year-old girl sustained major injuries and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.

Following the accident, Caliboso was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and felony gross vehicular manslaughter.

The crash remains under investigation.
