Ernest Valenzuela Arrested After Turlock Motorcycle Accident at Lander and Greenway Avenues
Turlock, California (June 22, 2020) – 50-year-old Joey Branco has been identified as the motorcyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle at Lander Avenue and Greenway Avenue in Turlock, just around 2:00 a.m.
As per the California Highway Patrol dispatch, 49-year-old Ernest Valenzuela was driving a Volkswagen southbound on Lander Avenue when he hit a motorcycle ridden by Branco Monday morning.
Valenzuela, a Turlock resident, was reportedly making a left turn onto Greenway Avenue prior to the collision. He did not stop after hitting Branco and fled the scene.
Sadly, Branco died in the accident.
The suspect later called the officials from his house and was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
