11-Year-Old Boy Injured in Rohnert Park Bicycle Crash on Civic Center Drive
Rohnert Park, California (June 8, 2020) – A 11-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a truck while he was riding his bicycle in Rohnert Park Sunday night, authorities said.
The crash occurred in the 900 block of Civic Center Drive at about 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7.
According to the reports, the boy was riding his bicycle on Civic Center Drive when a truck hit him.
The boy was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. His identity and condition at this time were not immediately released.
The driver of the truck, Stephen Anthony Marteo, 28, of Cotati, fled the scene but was later arrested. He was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, DUI with injury and violation of probation. His bail was set at $110,000.
Marteo was due in court Tuesday, according to the reports.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
