Woman Injured in Thermal Pedestrian Accident on Avenue 70
Thermal, California (January 31, 2020) – A young woman was struck and injured by a vehicle Thursday morning in Thermal, according to a local news source.
The accident took place just after 6:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30 in the 88-700 block of Avenue 70.
Authorities said the woman was waiting at a school bus stop when, for an unknown reason, she was hit by a vehicle. It is undetermined if the victim was a teenager.
The woman was airlifted to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The driver reportedly fled the scene.
No other details about the crash were immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
