Three Injured in San Diego Collision on College Grove Way

San Diego, California (January 13, 2020) - Two vehicles were involved in a traffic crash Sunday afternoon that sent three people to a hospital in Oak Park, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The crash occurred in the 6300 block of College Grove Way at around 2:20 p.m. January 12.

Police said a 20-year-old man in a Buick Century made an illegal left turn on College Grove Way, leading to a crash with a 2008 Chevy Suburban driven by a 32-year-old man.

The driver of the Buick and one passenger sustained minor injuries. A third occupant of the Buick was transported to a hospital for treatment of a raptured spleen.

No other injuries were reported but four children who were riding in the Suburban were transported to a hospital for observation.

No further details were released.

Police are investigating the collision.
