Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Sacramento Motorcycle Accident Near Greenback and Garfield Avenues

Sacramento, California (January 11, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the Sacramento motorcycle collision that sent at least one person to the hospital on Friday night.

The major-injury crash took place at about 9:52 p.m. January 10, at the intersection of Greenback Lane and Garfield Avenue near the Interstate 80 Freeway.

Authorities did not immediately release the circumstances that lead to the collision of a black motorcycle and a silver BMW sedan.

Sacramento Fire Department officials, along with the paramedics, arrived at the scene shortly after the wreck and rendered aid to the victim.

The unidentified patient was hospitalized for treatment of major injuries.

Meanwhile, the northbound lanes of the highway were closed down as police conducted the investigation.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
