2 Drivers Arrested after San Mateo Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101

San Mateo, California (January 21, 2020) - Police officers have arrested two drivers following a fatal pedestrian crash on Sunday at around 1:43 a.m. in San Mateo, according to a police report.
Police said a Toyota Camry driven by Ramon Hernandez, 32, of Redwood City, struck the driver of a Toyota Yaris, who was exiting her vehicle after she collided with a Dodge Charger.

The driver of the Yaris was killed in the crash. A passenger in Toyota Camry was injured in the collision.

Hernandez and the driver of the Dodge were arrested following the crash.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

Police officers suspect alcohol and drugs may be the cause of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
