Persib Killed in Camp Pendleton Pedestrian Collision on Interstate 5
Camp Pendleton, California (January 31, 2020) - A pedestrian running across Interstate 5 was fatally hit by a vehicle near Camp Pendleton early Friday morning, according to the CHP.
The deadly collision happened in the northbound lanes of the freeway, just south of the Aliso Creek rest stop at about 6:15 a.m.
A driver had pulled over to the side of the freeway when they attempted to run across the northbound lanes and was hit by a vehicle.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No further details were released.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
