Paula Mitchell, Zingali Joseph Identified as 2 of 4 Killed in Corona Plane Crash at Corona Municipal Airport
Corona, California (January 24, 2020) – Two of the four people who died after a single-engine airplane crashed Wednesday afternoon in Corona have been identified as Paula Mitchell, 61, of La Mirada and Zingali Joseph, 85, of Torrance.
The deadly crash occurred at about 12:11 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, on the east side of Corona Municipal Airport.
According to authorities, a single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza was attempting to take off from the single-runway, non-towered airport when the pilot lost control of the plane and crashed into a fence. The aircraft then flipped over and burst into flames.
Four people, including Mitchell and Joseph, were killed in the accident.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident.
