Motorists Injured in Dunnigan Car Accident on Interstate 5 near County Road 4; Brandon Hall Arrested
Yolo County, California (January 30, 2019) – Injuries were reported Sunday night in an alleged DUI crash in Dunnigan, Yolo County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place at around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, January 26 on northbound Interstate 5 near County Road 4.
The CHP said Brandon Hall, 27, of Williams, was driving a Dodge northbound on Interstate 5 when he attempted to overtake a Toyota. For an unknown reason, Hall's vehicle clipped the Toyota.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles lost control and spun into the southbound lanes, where they collided head-on with two other vehicles.
Hall was taken to Mercy San Juan Hospital with major injuries. Police later arrested him on suspicion DUI.
According to the CHP, the other motorists suffered minor to moderate injuries. Their names have not been disclosed.
No other details about the crash were given.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
