Rider Injured in San Diego Motorcycle Accident on Division Street at Osborn Street

San Diego, California (January 30, 2020) – The San Diego Police Department is conducting an investigation into a crash that sent a motorcyclist to a hospital on Wednesday morning in the Shelltown neighborhood.

According to the police, the collision occurred at the intersection of Division Street and Osborn Street at around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29.

The rider, a 26-year-old man, was heading east on Division Street when a 2015 Subaru traveling west made a left turn, directly into the path of the motorcyclist and the two collided.

The motorcyclist sustained a foot fracture and a broken femur.

No injuries were reported by the Subaru driver, a 60-year-old man.

The investigation is ongoing.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.
