42-Year-Old Michael Place Killed in Desert Center Pedestrian Crash on 10 Freeway

Riverside County, California (January 16, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol has released the name of a Palm Springs Man killed in a pedestrian crash that happened at about 6:32 p.m. last month in the area of Desert Center.

The accident involving a truck was reported on December 16, on 10 Freeway near State Route 177.

As per the report, 42-year-old Michael Charles was walking in the area when he was hit and seriously injured by the truck for reasons still under investigation.

Details regarding the involved motorist were not immediately disclosed at the time of the report.

Officials declared Mr. Michael Charles dead at the scene.

The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
