Fatal Escondido Pedestrian Crash on Escondido
The Escondido Police said the man was crossing the street when a 2007 Kia Spectra sedan, driven east on Washington Avenue, struck him.
The man was pronounced dead at Palomar Medical Center.
The identity of the deceased was not released pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with the police.
The crash remains under investigation.
