60-Year-Old Man Killed in Fullerton Hit-and-Run Accident at Lemon Street and Santa Fe Avenue; Marianne Hall Arrested
Fullerton, California (January 3, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a suspected hit-and-run driver Thursday evening in the area of Lemon Street and Santa Fe Avenue in Fullerton, according to a local news source.
The fatal pedestrian accident took place shortly before 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2 at the intersection of Lemon Street and Santa Fe Avenue.
Authorities said the pedestrian, a 60-year-old man, was crossing north of Santa Fe Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a 2015 Honda Civic that was traveling southbound on Lemon Street.
The man sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Honda did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The driver, identified as Marianne Hall, 43, of Fullerton, returned to the scene shortly after the accident.
Hall was arrested and charged with one count of felony hit-and-run causing great bodily injury or death.
