Man Killed in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident on Bayshore Boulevard and Sunnydale Avenue
San Francisco, California (January 13, 2020) – A man died after being hit by a Muni train in San Francisco early Sunday morning, according to police.
The fatal pedestrian accident took place at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday, January 12 on Bayshore Boulevard and Sunnydale Avenue.
Authorities said the man was sitting on the couplers between two light rail vehicles while the train was stopped. As the train started to move again, he fell underneath and was hit by the second vehicle of the train.
The man, whose name not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin, was declared dead at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
