Girl Hospitalized After Long Beach Pedestrian Accident at Alamitos Avenue and Broadway
Long Beach, California (January 19, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a traffic collision that resulted in serious injuries to a young pedestrian in Long Beach on Saturday morning.
The collision involving a Tesla and a pedestrian took place at about 11:25 a.m. on January 18, in the area of Alamitos Avenue and Broadway.
The accident involved a 14-year-old girl walking near Chevron gas station and the Tesla operated by a female party.
The initial report indicated that the Tesla lost control at the time of the collision and struck the pedestrian.
The girl was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of severe life-threatening injuries sustained in the wreck.
The involved driver was also hospitalized with critical injuries.
More details regarding the crash will be released immediately after the completion of the investigation.
