Los Angeles Police Department Officer Injured in Santa Clarita Motorcycle Accident on Highway 41 near Via Princessa
Santa Clarita, California (January 30, 2020) – A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 41 in Santa Clarita, according to a local news source.
The wreck happened at around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 29 in the southbound lanes of Highway 14 near Via Princessa and Golden Valley Road.
As per the report, the motorcycle officer collided with another vehicle in the southbound lanes of Highway 14 for unknown reasons.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and rendered aid to the injured officer. Their injuries were considered not serious.
The crash caused traffic congestion in the southbound lanes of Highway 14 for more than two and a half hours as authorities investigated the crash.
“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group.
