61-Year-Old Ivan Phillips Seriously Hurt in Dos Palos Truck Crash at Highway 152 and Flanagan Road
Dos Palos, California (January 27, 2020) - A crash between two trucks near Dos Palos left both drivers injured, one of them seriously, on Friday morning near Dos Palos, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision occurred at Highway 152 and Flanagan Road at about 8 a.m. January 24.
According to the report, a 2003 Kenworth cement truck heading southbound on Flanagan Road was attempting to cross Highway 152 when it was struck by a 2019 Freightliner traveling east on Highway 152.
The driver of the 2019 Freightliner, 61-year-old Ivan Phillips of Oakland, was pulled out of the wreckage by firefighters and transported to a Modesto hospital in serious condition.
The other driver, 48-Year-Old John Delgado of Merced, sustained minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Truck accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
