Hawk Bergstrom Arrested after Fatal Redding Car Accident on Highway 299 near Whiskeytown Scales
Redding, California (January 30, 2020) – 42-year-old Hawk Blaze Bergstrom of Redding was arrested after an alleged DUI fatal crash in Redding Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal two-car crash happened on Highway 299, just west of the Whiskeytown scales on Wednesday, January 29.
The CHP said Bergstrom was operating a Toyota pickup truck westbound on Highway 299 towards Weaverville when, for an unknown reason, the Toyota collided head-on with a Chevy truck that was traveling eastbound towards Redding.
Paramedics responded to the scene and performed CPR on the female driver of the Chevy. Despite life-saving measures, the woman did not survive her injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Bergstrom was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The accident remains under investigation.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
