Man Injured in Hanford DUI Car Accident at 9th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard
Hanford, California (January 22, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a DUI car accident that sent a 26-year-old male party to the hospital on Sunday morning in Hanford, according to a local news source.
The collision happened shortly after 7:00 a.m. on January 19 in the area of 9th Avenue and Lacey Boulevard.
The accident began when 36-year-old Sonia Mena traveling north on 9th Avenue turned onto Lacey Boulevard and ran a posted stop sign. Mena then collided with another car operated by a 26-year-old man eastbound on Lacer Boulevard.
The unidentified car motorist was transported to Adventist Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Mena, who was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the collision, was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to identify the cause of the accident.
