Guadalupe Montenegro and Luis Montenegro Injured in Atwater Car Crash at Santa Fe Drive and Avenue Two
Atwater, California (January 30, 2020) - Guadalupe Montenegro, 52, of Winton and two others were injured after a car crash on Wednesday morning in Atwater, according to police.
Authorities responded to a two-vehicle accident at about 10:00 a.m., January 29, on Santa Fe Avenue at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and Avenue Two.
A westbound 2019 Ford F-150 driven by James Macminn, 54, of Merced was reportedly attempting to make a left turn onto Avenue Two. The Ford turned into the path of a 1999 Toyota Solara heading eastbound on Santa Fe Drive. The Toyota then struck the Ford on the right side.
The Toyota was driven by Luis Montenegro, 65 of Winton.
Guadalupe, the Toyota passenger, was airlifted to a hospital with moderate injuries.
Macminn and Luis complained of pain following the crash. The two victims were not transported to the hospital for further treatment.
The roadway was closed until one of the vehicles was removed from the scene.
Police said DUI was not a factor in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
According to Arin Khodaverdian, the Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, a separate investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary so as clearly uncover the circumstances surrounding the collision. “An attorney will also help the victim to navigate all the legal processes in pursuit of fair compensation and justice. Car accident claims are rarely straightforward, and, regardless of the circumstances involved, liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim. It is crucial, therefore, that you have an experienced attorney on your side,” said Arin.
